BEFORE USE
Carefully unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials. Select a flat, heat-resistant,
non-flammable surface to place the toaster. Do not immerse the toaster in water or other liquid.
To remove any dust that may have accumulated on the removable parts during packaging,
clean the surface with damp cloth and remove any stickers (except stickers for safety, caution,
or warnings). Before toasting the first slice, the toaster should be heated once or twice in the
highest heating temperature without any food in the slots.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:
Toaster setting must be adjusted based on the thickness, freshness, and texture of the bread or
bagel; dark coarse bread may require longer toasting than drier bread.
TOASTING NOTES
Toasting is a combination of cooking and drying the bread; moisture levels differ from one
bread to another, which can result in varying toasting times. Please reference the following
guideline before using the toaster.
-
-
-
For slightly dry bread, use a lower light/dark setting than normal.
For fresh bread or whole wheat, use a higher setting than normal.
Breads with very uneven surfaces (such as English muffins) will require a higher
light/dark setting.
-
Thickly cut pieces of bread (including bagels) will take longer to toast, sometimes
significantly longer, since more moisture must be evaporated from the bread before
toasting can occur.
-
-
Very thick pieces may require two cycles.
When toasting raisin or other fruit breads, remove any loose raisins from the surface of
the bread before placing into the toaster. This will help prevent pieces from falling into
the toaster or sticking on the guard wire in the slot.
-
Before toasting bagels, slice each bagel into two equal halves.
NOTE: During toasting cycle, the user may cancel the cycle by pressing the ‘Cancel’ button at
anytime.

can be used without selecting a preprogrammed function.
1. DEFROST
2. REHEAT
3. BAGEL
DEFROST
The defrost button is designed to defrost first and then toast the bread, which slightly extends

3. Press the “Defrost” button.

shortens the toasting cycle.

BAGEL
The bagel button is designed to only use one side(s) of the heating elements, which will toast
the cut side of the bagel.
1. Insert sliced bagel or English muffin with the cut side facing the inside of toaster. Only
the inside coils will heat up.
2. Press the “Bagel” button.
3. Press the carriage lever down until it locks into position.
4. When the cycle is completed the lever will raise the bagel up. To terminate the cycle
before it is completed, simply press the cancel button.

the operation and the toast will pop up immediately.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
COMPLETELY CLEAN AND DRY ALL PARTS AFTER EVERY USE.
1. Turn toaster “Off” and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning it.
2. Wait for the toaster to cool down.
3. Wipe the outside of toaster with a damp cloth and dry with another cloth or paper
towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
4. To avoid damage to toast heating elements, do not use any pointed or sharp articles for
cleaning the inside of the toaster.
CRUMB TRAY
Gently slide the crumb tray out to remove the crumbs. Use a damp cloth to clean the crumb
tray. Always dry the crumb tray before replacing. Push firmly to close the tray and make sure
the tray fits the toaster properly.
